Our History

Armadillos Ice Cream Shoppe opened in the spring of 1996 — the result of a dream three years in the making. Our founders spent that time visiting an ice cream shop called Zesto, and knew its concept would be a perfect fit for Rapid City.

We found our home on the corner of 2nd Street and Main Street. Located downtown, we have plenty of space for you to enjoy your treat and catch up with old friends, with our inside dining room and outside patio. Our team of more than 30 employees are ready to make every visit a memorable experience.
